Olivia - Week Eight
This has always been one of our favorite outfits on Olivia, although it looks a lot more snug on her than it used to. She\'s a whopping 10 pounds now!
She smiles more and more every day and she\'s learning to play games with us. Daddy keeps trying to teach her to mimick him sticking out his tongue. I think here she\'s just smiling.
If she could laugh, she\'d be laughing here! When she gets real excited and smiley, the best laugh she can do for now is a cough. I\'ll take it.
I sure see this face a lot! People often say, \"What\'s with the eyebrows?\" or \"What are you thinking so hard about?\" Whatever it is, she\'s been pondering it since she came out of the womb.
WOW! She\'s really losing her hair. It\'s so sad for me to watch!!! I love all her pretty black hair. I always pictured myself having blonde kids...can you believe I just said I love her black hair?!
All swaddled up, paci in her mouth, staring at her bumper as usual. Sounds like she\'s ready for bed!
Even when she has a pouty lip and a furrowed brow, she\'s still such a pretty girl! No bias here whatsoever!
Olivia is like a magnet to cameras. I tried to videotape a talking game we play together, and of course, as soon as I set up the camera on a table nearby, she stopped everything to stare at it...just like in this picture.
Nothing like a baby\'s grin to cheer up your day! And to think, this grin came only an hour or so after her 5 immunization shots!
This is the sticker she got at the pediatrician\'s office after her 5 shots. It was so hard to watch her scream through them, but it didn\'t last too long, and she calmed down fairly quickly and fell asleep.
Ouch! The first three shots. The last two were on the other leg.
Olivia usually gets very calm and still when we take her outside, and she usually keeps her eyes closed because it\'s so bright - even on cloudy days. It\'s fun to see she\'s beginning to open them outside!
Ha! A little play time in her beanie...we must have just come in from outside. One of her favorite things to do these days is stand up on our laps while we hold her, like she\'s doing here.
Too bad she closed her eyes, but at least you can see one of her smiles!
And moments later, well this isn\'t exactly a smile. That\'s a baby for you!
Okay, okay. I hear that cry. No more pictures, no more smiles, no more playing...it\'s time for bed.
